I like rice. Rice is great when you're hungry and you want 2,000 of something.

-Sarah Catherine (21, from Rabun Gap, GA) is easy riding and looking like a pro. Maybe that bike will someday be hers. Until then,  I love the color combination of red and turquoise. And if nothing else, I applaud her true commitment: her phone and nails match too.
-Christy (38, from Athens, GA) gives two thumbs up for Milk, and I give two thumbs up for her casual evening look. Her ability to combine metallics without looking like a disco ball and adding a splash of red- makes her ensemble worthy of a second glance. -I'm sorry I couldn't resist. This is why I don't like Uggs. When they are worn in context (i.e. it is below 45 degrees and your legs are covered) then they are perfectly acceptable. I just wonder if the one girl in tennis shoes feels out of place???
-Thrifty is nifty for Beth (21, from Marietta, GA) who is a great example of simplicity. Her easy and versatile skirt is from Goodwill. To me, her true appeal lies in her reserved style and girl-next-door charisma.

Anyone who doesn't pose with their left hand will not be in this post.

-Shiri' (22, from Powder Springs, GA) is effortlessly stylish. Her polka dot scarf can be worn hundreds of ways (a bowtie in front, a belt on the waist) but today she left it loose and easy. Her color scheme (yes, unfortunately it is Georgia Tech, but still cute out of context) is simplistic and fantastic.

-Joe (20, from Atlanta, GA), I kid you not, got this robe on his 10th birthday and wears it whenever possible. I guess that is HIS take on style, therefore it works. I do believe the robe belongs in the bedroom, but I respect his dedication to a decade long tradition.
-Brittany (19, from Augusta, GA) makes a hair raising statement. Take your hair, look at it in the mirror, and does it look as cool as this? Doubtful.

A guy asks his waiter how they prepare their chicken. The waiter says that there's nothin' special... we just flat out tell' em they're gonna die...

Looking good rain or shine:
-Instead of looking how it felt on this dreariest of days, friends Callen (21, from Alpharetta, GA) and Carly (21, from Alpharetta, GA) take rain gear and make it surprisingly coordinated.
-When the skies cleared, Simon (24, from Atlanta, GA) and Sarah (21, from Athens, GA) decided to take a stroll and take in the Athens vibe.

I got my hair highlighted, because I felt some strands were more important than others.

-You are having one of those days. Putting an outfit together seems more difficult than aeronautical engineering, you are feeling uglier than Amy Winehouse (on a good day), and your hair hasn't changed since the last Pope - it may be time for some updating. And like the new president, there is hope.
-Singing Kumbaya isn't required, but might help with the mood. Chill out in a feather band for your inner hippie.
-Ali Temple Designs, makes custom headbands that can brighten any dull outfit. The fun and funky headbands range from elastic to plastic, flowers to feathers-  and everything in between.
-Every girl deserves flowers, and these headbands will help encourage the groundhog from seeing his shadow.

Dogs are the leaders of the planet. One of them's making a poop, the other one's carrying it for him, who would you assume is in charge?

-Anna (19, from Atlanta, GA) the drummer of offensive and self-proclaimed badass girl band: Abbanna LeBon, is looking tres chic and outrageous with a fur scarf  paired with sneakers. The superfan- Claudia (19, from Calhoun, GA) rocks a band t-shirt drawn by a friend. The gold legged vixen, known as  Abbe (20, from Atlanta, GA) is the lead singer and she dominates. Prepare yourself for absurdity: Abbanna Lebon.
-Lea (25, from Atlanta, GA) is a baller barista at Espresso Royale Cafe. Her fashion wisdom is all her own- no rules, no BS. Her philosophy is a lot like her favorite drink (mocha): sweet and simple with a twist.
-Iain (20, from Liverpool, England) stands on top of the world, or rather, a downtown statue to show off his brilliant good looks. Warning: he is mighty dangerous... he may swoon you with his delectable accent, low-key boyish charm, and/or amiable personality. If you don't have strong will power, I advise you to stay far FAR away.
-Emily (20, from Marietta, GA) is one of the cutest bookworms I've ever met. What makes her unique is that she is a DJ for WUOG 90.5 fm, UGA's student-run radio station, and even though she is heard and not seen- it doesn't stop her from making an effort to look great.

The cool parties are always held in the basement.

-Boutique Basement is the newest store to hit downtown Athens and I am predicting a major hit. Staying on a budget is important these days, and this store is here to cater to thrifty fashionistas.
-If you are a devoted outlet junkie, I warn you: you may soon be converted. Here, they offer unbeatable outlet prices with an intimate boutique feel. You don't have to sift through junk and you get the personal service you deserve.
-Their inventory includes last season's leftovers (much more appealing than meatloaf) at a discounted price (hot brands like: Trina Turk, BCBG, Velvet, and Ella Moss) and also, premium jean brands: Hudson, Seven, Citizens for Humanity, and J Brand.

-Pretty good, right? Well, here is the icing on the cake: all shoes are half off....ALL THE TIME. So, come here for Sam Edelman, Frye, Oh Deer, Betsey Johnson, etc. at 50% their original prices.

Help Wanted: Telepath. You know where to apply.

-This unfortunate soul got a hold of her drapes and decided to wear them. The pairing of the hideous fabric brings her a lot of attention... and not the good kind.
-Mike (26, from Augusta, GA) and Lisa (25, from El Paso, TX) basically celebrate Valentine's Day everyday. They have a great love story:  met in middle school, she moved away, came back to him... yadda yadda yadda... they have been each other's half for almost 2 years now. Their big V-day plans? Nothing fancy shmancy, just winging it with a group of friends.
-Christopher's (20, from Thomasville, GA) style is absolutely impeccable. He would make Tim Gunn very proud as he embodies the classic gentleman look. (And don't let his clothes intimidate you- his wardrobe consists of mostly consignment clothing for a fraction of the original price... proving you can seriously pretend to look like a million bucks.)
-Sara Jane (24, from Athens, GA) and Lina (22, from Decatur, GA) resurrect early 90's grunge and make it street chic. If they had on a little more plaid, I could definitely picture them as extras in an episode of "My So Called Life."
-I just don't get it. It is just as easy for this girl to put on a pair of tennis shoes, so why the Uggs and running shorts? It proves the point that when it is HOT outside, you don't need wool on your shins. That is probably why she needed to roll them down. I beg of everyone to make this stop, it is long overdue.

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One cannibal turns to the other and asks, “This taste funny to you?”

-The concept of matching your friend on a night out... BEWILDERS me. I seriously don't get the thought process, but then again... I suppose they don't do much wise thinking in the first place.
-Abby (22, from Augusta, GA) and Kate (23, from Pittsburgh, PA) somehow make an already beautiful 70 degree day in February that much better. This eclectic duo conquers the fickle weather with multiple layers, and incorporate their winter staples with anticipated spring accents.
-Jocelyn (23, from Snellville, GA) has seriously got it going on. Check out her entrepreneurial day dreams: (jocelyn negron). She is a quirky fashionista with a bright future ahead of her.
-Mo (20, from Decatur, GA) is wearing an ensemble that represents his personality. His laid-back, friendly, and easy-going lifestyle reflect through clothes that suit him accordingly.
-I apologize if anyone under the 18 years old is looking at this. This buttcrack graced the streets of Athens today, and this is no ordinary crack. If you peek closely she probably is no stranger to showing off that derriere, because she has a nice tattoo displayed on her right cheek. And now I bestow upon you to enjoy her splendor.

On the other hand, you have different fingers.

-Lauren (21, from Stone Mountain, GA) stops traffic with her good looks. Besides her obvious beauty- she's got brains and talent to boot. She is a science major and dabbles in crafting: that precious headband? Oh, just a Lauren original.
-Brian (20, from Douglasville, GA) and Ian (20, from Douglasville, GA) have a fresh look that is relaxed and lively at the same time. Their style is downplayed and leads me to believe that they have a lot of personality to offer.
-I know times are tough, but a pair of jeans that you haven't outgrown is worth the investment
-Lakyn (21, from Brunswick, GA) takes plaid to a new level by mixing and matching different varieties. By downplaying everything else she makes the designs complimentary. It doesn't hurt that she is super duper cute, so she could probably wear almost anything and make it look great.
-This fine pedestrian was caught strolling the streets singing at the top of his... or her... lungs. I don't think he... or she... is a professional singer- but the melodies brought a warm smile to all passersby on a cold day.

Did you have Campbell's soup today? Because you are looking mmm mmm good.

Stone cold foxes of the day:
-Justin (20, from Kingston, Jamaica) keeps it classy with original Adidas gear. He looked great, but after picking up some slick shades from Dynamite, he was all set and ready to make his coolness out of control. (I believe he succeeded.)
-Eric (21, from Minneapolis, MN) is that guy crossing the street who makes you do a double take. Nothing screams 'look at me!'  His carefree demeanor translates through his clothing flawlessly. His confidence and attitude are enough to make head turns... and that is true style.

What do squirrels give for Valentine's Day? Forget-me-nuts!

-Those little candy hearts taste like chalk. Every trip to the grocery store you end up with a "gift" of chocolates from some guy named Whitman. And, seriously, what girl doesn't like flowers? Whether St. Valentine make your heart skip a beat or cringe at the commercialism... shopping woes are definitely not an issue:
-Looking for a sexy number? Look no further than Flirt Fashions (I think the name speaks for itself) for a knockout dress that you will make you feel as beautiful as you look.
-If you are have a more casual date, you don't necessarily need a slinky cocktail dress. These girly (and again... flirty) dresses will make it a special occasion without exerting too much effort. Pair the black and white dress with red pumps and clutch for a Valentine's-theme look (Oh, and here is an added bonus- any red and black dresses bought can double as gameday outfits so you can get your money's worth... it sure is great to be a bulldog.)
-On your way out, pick up a set of Honeydew intimates for yourself to feel sexy above and beneath the surface. (Also a great gift: $11-$16)

For those who aren't so fond of "Single Awareness Day" treat yourself at McColly's for the only thing a girl really needs in life: retail therapy. So if you are single on Valentine's Day- your life isn't completely doomed...

If you are without a Valentine, it doesn't mean you can't look fabulous. Go to McColly's and receive 14% off all inventory for being an independent woman:
-The sexy LBD will show you are on the market and will hide any drool stains accumulated from people gawking at you. (But, I do suggest dry cleaning it afterwards.)
-The conservative polka-dot frock is perfect for a low key girls' night out.

-Wear your heart on your sleeve...or, chest... or, ears. These earrings and necklace by Boe are a wonderful gift to remind yourself or someone else how much you love them.
