UGAstyle: To Infinity and Beyond!

-UGAstyle.com has been lacking content for the past few weeks and it has been for a very good reason. Don't think of it as the end of an era, but rather the beginning of a beautiful future: UGAstyle is branching off!

- If you want the lowdown on all that is fashion and pop culture and to learn a little more about clothes and their relation to art, movies, food, music, etc... treat yourself to fashion above and below the surface at www.ThePopCouture.com.

On the other hand....

-Whether you are a closet or a very outspoken fan of the fashion faux-pas plaguing our surroundings, UGAstyle's "hidden camera shots" can be found weekly in the UGA chapter of the newspaper that is chock full of the first amendment: The Rough Draft.

I leave you with the inspiration behind UGAstyle, and I hope that my pursuit in terminating Uggs and running shorts somewhat succeeded.

No need to prove your coolness if you keep up with Spring 2009 trends: 

-Besides her message tee that practically reads your mind- her mullet sure does make a statement. Business in the front, party in the back. 

-Take a clue from Karl Lagerfeld's  true inspiration: Mugatu. Stay up with what is in fashion. The piano key neck tie- it should be a staple in every distinguished gentleman's wardrobe.

-A bedazzled Canadian tuxedo? YES PLEASE! And it wouldn't be complete if you forget to pop that collar, you superstar of style.

What Would Juggs Do?

-I know she probably had good intentions... but I believe this can be filed under "fashion blasphemy."

I was finishing dinner at a restaurant last night. The waitress asked "you want a box for that?" I said "no, but I'll wrestle you for it."

-Call in a doctor, because Maggie (20, from Atlanta, GA) has a full blown case of Spring fever. And the only prescription... is more... color.
-MK Youngblood (24, from Athens, GA) kills it as she channels Edie Sedgwick with a tight leotard top and some extraordinary chandelier earrings. 
-This baby is so cute, I couldn't resist. This is his Blue Steel look.

Sometimes I think I am a genius. Then I realize I've already seen this episode of jeopardy.

-Liam (4 months, from Athens, GA) is the trendiest and most dapper young gentleman in the entire city. This eligible bachelor revives the nostalgic OshKosh B'Gosh brand and combines with a very trendy newsboy cap- to create a harmonious look of old and new styles.
-Nicci (20, from Athens, GA) follows no fashion rules, except to be genuinely herself. Her fearlessness is the ultimate accessory.
-Hailey (20, from New Orleans, LA) is a perfect image of what a UGA girl can look like. She understands putting several trends together at once can be done right. Okay, she is adorable and could wear a paper sack, but when she puts on something trendy like her fringe boots, she doesn't appear to be a stranded alien cowgirl.
-If I wouldn't eat off this pattern, I wouldn't wear it on my pants either.
